Apocalypse Over Bariloche
Sony ILCE-7RM2, Nikkor 14-24 2.8G, f2.8, ISO3200, 14mm, 30s
To capture this image, I had to hike for 4 hours to reach the top. Slept under a tarp as hail, and rain plus lots of winds slammed into our campsite. around 3 am it all blew past us revealing this incredible sight. I took 16 shots, each overlapping by 50% at about 20s exposure using my nikkor 14-24mm lens. I had my cousin Keith stand on the far right for the final frame. This endeavor to climb to the top of this mountain was one of my greatest moments because its moments like this, one truly bonds and gets to know their family. As we climbed the mountain I saw the storm unfolding and thought to myself, all this effort was to be wasted because I thought the skies would be cloudy, raining but at the last minute it all worked out which ended up making it even more beautiful. Moral of story, never give up, have faith in your journey, it jsut might work out in your favor.
